As theAdministrative Director of Critical Care, you will be responsible for theplanning, organizing, directing, and controlling of the critical care units atLas Palmas Medical Center to include ICU, Neuro ICU, Telemetry andCardiovascular Services. You will advise hospital management regarding thestatus of patient care, budgetary projections, quality improvement processesand human resource applications. You will anticipate and estimate future needsof the organization needed to improve quality of patient care. You will collaborateand coordinate the efforts of leaders within the organization to accomplish themission of Las Palmas Medical Center.

  • You will plan,organize, direct, and control programs in the Las Palmas ICU, ER, and FreestandingER service lines.
  • You willformulate sound fiscal operations including the timely and accuratecompilation, analysis, development and publication of an annual budget and themonitoring of implementation.
  • You will administeranalyze and appraise Quality Improvement and facilitate interdepartmentalPerformance Improvement process throughout the services supervised.
  • You will controland authorize processes related to Human Resources; inclusive of positioncontrol, job descriptions, and professional practice, recruitment and retentionand performance evaluations.
  • You will develop,interpret, inspect and review policies and procedures within the departmentspecific areas.
  • You willcooperate with the Medical Staff and other hospital personnel to ensure thathigh quality services are being rendered to patients with the outpatient areas.
  • You will facilitatedepartment committee meetings to include: develop the agenda and gather reportsin a timely manner.
  • You willdevelop and motivate Department Directors and other key personnel to optimizetheir talents and meet the overall needs and goals of the organization.
  • You will collaborate,develop and participate in marketing of the services, including educationalprogram development, external advertising and working in alliance with localand regional programs.
  • You willparticipate in the development, implementation and evaluation of goals/businessplan established for the organization and the services supervised.

Qualifications

Experience:
  • ManagementRN experience in a clinical setting: Required
  • Five(5) years experience in healthcare department management: Preferred.
Education:
  • Bachelorof Science in Nursing or working towards obtaining BSN: Required
  • Mastersdegree in related field: Preferred

License /Certifications:

  • CurrentRN licensure in Texas or compact state: Required
  • ACLS: Required
  • BCLS: Required
